Kyle Hulten, Partner

What I do in one or two sentences…

Whether it’s advising on a deal to raise capital, structuring an agreement between founders, helping a company get out of a sticky situation, or reviewing due diligence documents for a business acquisition, I help individuals and businesses get deals done. Sometimes the best deal you make is the one you walk away from, so in addition to advising you on how you can get a deal done, I’ll also let you know if I think you should walk away from the deal.

The best part about my job is…

Who I work with. It’s fun to work with and be able to help people who are excited about what they do. Our clients are passionate about providing great products and services to our community, and over time, as I develop relationships built on trust with our clients, I get to be a part of their team that’s doing something awesome. I also love working with the team at InVigor. Our little group is close knit and feels like an extension of my family.

When I’m out of the office I enjoy…

Sunny afternoons with friends on the deck at Ray’s Cafe. Sitting in my living room shouting at the tv during Arsenal matches. Re-reading Ulysses with my cat on my lap. Travelling anywhere with my wife. Binge-watching a tv series. Listening to an audiobook on my walk to work. Designing websites. Trying to learn to speak French. Studying history. Cooking something new or cooking an old standby—croissants are on their way to becoming an old standby (my favorite thing to do with croissant dough is to make morning buns with orange zest, cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla).
