Gavin Johnson, Partner

What I do in one or two sentences…

I help startups and business owners identify and reach goals. I assist clients with forming and structuring entities, raising capital from investors through equity and debt financings, protecting intellectual property, and drafting contracts to protect the company’s interests. I use the tools and experience I have as an entrepreneur to create practical legal strategies for each particular client.

The best part about my job is…

Getting the opportunity to work with and meet interesting people with innovative ideas. The people I get to surround myself with everyday make coming to work fun. Whether it’s the enthusiastic technology entrepreneur or an attorney with a new idea about delivering legal services, I’m motivated to continue to innovate and improve my approach to legal services because of the people around me.

When I’m out of the office I enjoy…

Spending time with my wife, two sons, and dog. Hanging out outside: hiking, running, backpacking, fly fishing, skiing, BBQing, watching the hops in my backyard grow, and climbing. Experimenting with brewing beer. Swimming and waterskiing at Lake Chelan. Rooting for the Seattle Seahawks. Drinking good coffee and IPAs.
